Early Childhood Investmentand Economic Trends with Rob Grunewald and
Let's Not Lose Ground on Early Childhood Investment
An information session and mid-day conversation about early childhood investment. Rob Grunewald gave two presentations about the economics of early childhood investment, one in the morning followed by an extensive question and answer session and a keynote luncheon address. This was our first 2010 session with a national expert on this topic, furthering our effort to increase awareness about the impact of early childhood development on New Mexico’s children.

2009 New Mexico Economic Summit on Early Childhood Investment

The summit was held to bring together business leaders from across the state to discuss the importance of a high-quality and well-educated workforce through investments in early childhood programs. Nationally known and respected speakers shared the latest brain development research and the economics of early childhood education. Attendees also learned why quality early childcare and education is so important for employers, for our economy and for our communities. In addition, the CEO to CEO perspectives layed the ground work for a call to action within our New Mexico business community in the coming months.
